Going into the match top of the table (though with other teams having games in hand), we were perhaps a little complacent and that resulted in a v sluggish start to the game. We couldn’t find a rhythm and struggled to get a hold of the ball and get our passing game going. We went 1-0 down and despite a poor half, that’s how the first half ended.

We started the second half brightly, showing more energy and intent. But it was all too brief and after we conceded a second we couldn’t again raise our levels to get ourselves back in the game. As the match went on and we tried to get ourselves back in the game, the Oppo was able to break and took their chances and went 4-0 up.

A frustrating game for the whole team, where nothing seemed to go right. The result sees us move down to third, but having still to play the top 2 both home and away, all is still to play for. Inshallah, we learn from today and come back stronger.
