Against the current league leaders, and despite a number of forced changes, the team were determined to continue some of the good football we have been playing recently. And right from the off we played with an intensity, work ethic and quality that was too much for the opposition.

From the first minute we dominated the ball, moving from left to right and looking incisive. It didn’t take long for one such break and to Musa to take a shot from the edge of the box into the bottom corner. A few minutes later Sammar made it 2 and that’s how it was at half time and we were good value for it.

We came out in the second half knowing that the opposition would come out strong. And after getting through that initial period Musa slotted home after some good work by Adrian on the left to make it 3-0.

We continued to boss the match but with 15 minutes to go the opposition got one back. That could have led to a tricky the end to the game, but instead the team stayed composed and saw out the game with ease, actually missing a couple of very good chances instead.

A great team effort to beat the league leaders comfortably. Especially strong performances from both full backs, who were brave on the ball all game, always providing an option, always wanting the ball and prepared to pass it in tight spaces.

Inshallah we keep it up for the rest of the season.
