Against a very physical Wandgas side, we knew from very early on that we needed to be up for every challenge and 50-50. After going a goal down relatively early in the half, despite never being at our best and struggling to pass the ball around, we actually had the majority of the play and some good chances which unfortunately we couldn’t take. With half-time approaching, we had the opposition pinned in, but couldn’t get the all-important goal.

Coming out in the second half we needed to continue with the same intensity. But unfortunately, it just didn’t happen. And after losing the ball in the midfield, the opposition countered quickly to go 2-0 up. With that our heads seemed to go down despite 25 mins still to play.

A disjointed ending to the match saw the oppo score another couple of goals and despite some better passages of play, we were unable to score. Inshallah, next week we’ll come back stronger.
