Round #Quarter Final

We started the game with an attacking line up and formation. Ibby and Subhan from the right and Ak and Rehan in the left were a constant threat from the flanks. Humayon and Billz were also linking up the play well through the centre.

We opened the scoring when shah sent Rehan through and he finished from the left of the area.

The second was a through ball from ak which Mitz finished in classy style.

We were 2-0 up and cruising at half time. The second half was a much less controlled performance and we were wasteful in possession and allowed Balham to get back in with a fine 25 yard strike. Their tails were up and the got an equaliser when the ball richicheted into the their strikers path in the middle of the area to make it 2-2. We had then went down to 10 men after a fracas.

It woke us up to a degree and from a Subhan corner, Ghali rose to powerfully head us back into the lead 3-2. In the dying minutes, we lost another player for frustration with the ref. Despite being down to 9 men we saw out the final minutes to get the win and reach the cup semis.

A winning but scrappy end to the first half the season. Wake up call for the job that remains, that every week discipline and hard work are needed from minute 1 to 90.
