Sometimes, just sometimes, boring is good. And today showed how much the team has improved and matured over the season. In difficult, blustery conditions, we controlled the game and never looked in trouble. It was easily the best performance of the season from the back 4, with the two full backs outstanding once again, against a team that actually had some quality going forwards.

We controlled the tempo and pace of the game throughout and just needed that little extra cutting edge to Make the difference. But while in previous games we may have let our discipline and shape go resulting in more problems for ourselves, today we stayed patient, composed and continued pressing for a winner without giving the oppo any opportunities. We had a number of good opportunities in the second half and on another day we would have run out comfortable winners.

We go into next week’s cup semi final in good form and spirits. Inshallah we can put in another solid performance.
