Round #Semi Final

A really tough defeat to take after a very good performance. Right from the off the team were at the opposition, with some excellent one and two touch passing the opposition (who are top of league above us) apart. The opposition midfield and back four were being run ragged but we couldn’t find that finish our play deserved.

And then straight from an AMY corner the opposition broke quickly and we found ourselves 1-0 down. A few minutes later, they doubled their lead with their big man up front causing problems and then finishing again. 2 shots, 2 goals.

We came back out after half time and continued pressing. It seemed like only a matter of time until we were able to score but with Mesh hitting the crossbar it wasn’t to be our day. And as we continued to push we became a little more open and the opposition made it 3-0.

Credit to the team we kept up the intensity and play but the match was over and the cup run finished.

Lots of positives and lots to learn. Inshallah we finish the league off strong.
