Round #1

After some good recent performances, the team was unable to take that form into the cup. We were sluggish for most of the match, misplacing passes throughout and struggling with our first touches. With lots of players off their game, it was difficult to find any rhythm.

Despite some early chances, the opposition scored early from a break and then again from a corner to go in at halftime 2-0. The same pattern continued in the second half with the opposition scoring from another corner and then a penalty.

The team kept running until the end, but it wasn’t our day. Didn’t want to win the cup anyway. Back to the league next week and back to better performances inshallah.
