League Match #8

Our first defeat of the season!

We started tentatively and we’re behind after 5 mins when Wandgas broke down the left and were able to beat zar with a side net finish. We had a number of half chances but were unable to capitalise when we had the opposition back peddling. Rehan came close after beating 3 men and narrowly putting his shot wide. We were also denied a penalty for a clear handball.

In the second half, we didn’t execute well enough and our passing became ragged.

Zar continued to make good saves from the Wandgas counter attacks.

Despite this, we still had one good chance when Dan went through on goal and was unfairly challenged which then saw a looping shot tipped over. Another clear penalty which the ref didn’t give as he felt he played the advantage.

All being said we weren’t good enough today and need to come back stronger next weekend.
