League Match #10

We started the game well-controlling possession and looking to play with a high press and intensity.

The opposition being our old adversaries were still technically strong and engineered a good through ball, which required perfect timing from Danish to body the forward when clear through on goal and won the ball back for us.

From this, we went up the field and a ball spread by Shahjahan found it’s way to Subhan, who took the ball down the left and finished well into the right corner.

We continued to dominate the game, with Jingles and Akaash overlapping, when they had the opportunity.

Ibby had a header tipped over from a superb cross by Mitz. We managed to get a second when Rehan played in Mitz, who sat the defender and goalkeeper down before slotting home.

We had further chances but went in 2-0 up at the half.

Early in the second half a direct through ball from Akaash found Mitz who ran in behind the defence, rounded the keeper and rolled it into an empty net.

The 4th goal arrived from an excellent Subhan corner, which was met by an even better-flicked header from Ghalieq into the roof of the net. We knew it was going to be our day when we actually scored from a corner!

Mesh and Humayon came on and we got a 5th when Subhan cut in from the right and though the shot was saved, Humayon followed up to make it 5.

While we were dominant in possession for the majority of the game, we had one lapse and TFT got a late consolation, we ran out 5-1 winners and now top the league table.
